In contrast, The Witcher achieved different experiences based on your choices, a morally grey world with equally grey characters. In my opinion, the structure of the story (and the game for that matter) is exactly the same no matter what you chose to do. This leads me to discuss the consequences of the actions you take. In addition, the choices you made were very rarely morally ambiguous which made deciding what to do an easy task. On the other hand, comparing the stories, Dragon Age started off really well and dramatic but the latter half of the story gets bogged down. On the one hand Bioware have created the Baldur's Gate series whereas CD Projekt have released just one game. The answer to my second question requires me to be a little more thoughtful. My second question: Which (if any) are you more looking forward to out of Dragon Age II or The Witcher 2?įor me, the answer to my first question is obvious: A resounding no My first question is this: Has there ever been such a potentially glorious year for fantasy lovers? Well, not only is this year going to be filled with plenty of must-read books including The Wise Man's Fear, The Crippled God, A Dance with Dragons and A Memory of Light but there's also two very big RPG titles going to be released this year.
